Why are dermal fillers necessary?
As people age, skin loses its ability to make hyaluronic acid. As hyaluronic acid is depleted, skin is unable to revitalize itself, which prompts it to become thinner and drier. Folds and wrinkles grow more pronounced as the degree of hyaluronic acid and collagen decreases and elastin fibers loosen and cluster. Other factors also influence the formation of wrinkles and cause cellular damage to the skin including: sun bathing, poor nutrition, lack of exercise, smoking, free radicals and pollution, regardless of age. Restylane, Juvederm and Perlane compensate for the loss of volume, restoring the youthful contours of the face.
